Blue Roof Woodblock House

45.00

Dimensions: 6" tall x 3" wide x 1.5" deep. Weighs half a pound.

I handpainted this little wood house on a block of reclaimed cypress that my husband, Marc Deloach, salvaged from the Mississippi Delta. It's a classic piece of Southern folk art perfect for a housewarming or holiday gift or as a little happy for your favorite spot. I used professional-quality acrylic paint on a salvaged cypress block that has slight textures and a few original nail holes. I painted the metallic blue roof, red door and yellow windows directly on the sandy brown wood. I signed it on the bottom. We sprayed it with a matte varnish to preserve the wood. This original folk art block will add a pop of color and personality to any shelf or tabletop. It's ready to ship.
