Burnt Orange Fish

75.00

Dimensions: 25" long x 4" tall x 1.5" thick. Weighs 2 pounds.

This wood fish was handmade by Marc Deloach from cypress he salvaged in the Mississippi Delta. I, Christine Schultz, handpainted it with burnt orange, white, and yellow acrylic paint. It's the perfect gift for a friend, a relative, or yourself. No two are the same. This burnt orange fish has a yellow eye, gill, and lips. I painted the edges for a multi-dimensional effect. His fin and tail are black with white markings and his top fin is white with black markings. He's over two feet long and is made of salvaged cypress with slight textures that show the wood's history. He's a real catch, ready to ship.

Hang this fish anywhere--in a dining room, kitchen, kids’ room, over a doorway or stairway, in a bathroom or bedroom, covered porch, lakehouse, or wherever you’d like a pop of color and whimsy. One is great. Groupings are even better.

On the back: My husband nailed a notched metal piece over a drilled, inletted circle, so that the fish will balance flush to the wall from a single nail or screw head. He will also sit upright on a flat surface. On the back you can see the original reclaimed cypress. My signature, Christine Schultz, is there, as well.

Care and handling: While these fish are fun and durable, they’re not meant as playthings for kids or to last outside directly in the weather. However, a covered porch is fine. We're happy to custom make fish. Just ask.
