Olive Green Fish

75.00

Dimensions: 10.5" long x 8.5" tall x 2" thick. Weighs 2.5 pounds.

This painted wood fish is the perfect Mississippi folk art to bring color and whimsy to your walls. I, Christine Schultz, handpainted it with olive green, orange, and white professional acrylics. My husband, Marc Deloach, made it from cypress wood he salvaged from the Delta. Great gift for guys or girls, for a housewarming or baby shower, or a happy present for yourself. This olive green fish is almost a foot long. He has orange lips, eye, and gill. His tail is white with black stripes. He's made from slightly textured reclaimed barn wood. I painted the sides to create a multi-dimensional effect. A real catch. Ready to ship.

Hang this fish anywhere--in a dining room, kitchen, kids’ room, over a doorway or stairway, in a bathroom or bedroom, covered porch, lakehouse, or wherever you’d like a pop of color and whimsy. One is great. Groupings are even better.

On the back Marc nailed a notched metal piece over a drilled, inletted circle, so that the fish will balance from a single nail or screw head and hang flat to the wall. You can see the original reclaimed cypress on back. My signature, Christine Schultz, is there, as well. While these fish are fun and durable, they’re not meant as playthings for kids or to last outside directly in the weather. A covered porch is fine. We're happy to custom make fish. Just ask.
