Olive Green Fish on Barnwood

75.00

Dimensions: 13" long x 7.5" tall x 2" thick. Weighs 2.5 pounds.

This painted wood fish is the perfect Mississippi folk art to bring color and whimsy to your walls. I handpainted it with professional acrylics. My husband made it from cypress wood he salvaged from the Delta. Great gift for guys or girls, for a housewarming or baby shower, or a happy present for yourself.

Special Features: This big-mouthed, olive-green fish is over a foot long. He has a gold eye and red lips gill. His tail is white with black stripes. I painted his light green scales over a darker base. He's made from relatively smooth reclaimed barnwood with slight original textures. He'll either hang on a wall or sit upright on a shelf. I painted the sides to create a multi-dimensional effect. A real catch. Ready to ship.

On the back: Marc nailed a notched metal hanger over an inletted drilled circle, so the fish will hang flush to the wall and will balance from a single nail or screw head. You can see the salvaged wood on back. My signature, Christine Schultz, is there, as well.

Hang this fish anywhere--in the office, dining room, kitchen, kids’ rooms, over doorways and stairways, in bathrooms and bedrooms, covered porches, lakehouses, or wherever you’d like a pop of color and whimsy. One is great. Groupings are even better.

Care and handling: While these fish are fun and durable, they’re not meant as playthings for kids or to hold up outside directly in the weather, although a covered porch is fine. We're happy to custom make fish. Just ask.
