Red Roof House

45.00

Dimensions: 5.5" tall x 3.25" wide x 1.5" deep. Weighs half a pound.

I handpainted this little red-roofed house on a wood block of reclaimed cypress that my husband, Marc Deloach, salvaged from the Mississippi Delta. It's a classic piece of Southern folk art perfect for a housewarming or holiday gift or as a little happy for your favorite spot. I used professional-quality acrylic paint on a salvaged cypress block that I sanded slightly. I painted the red roof, blue door, and pale yellow windows directly on the sandy brown wood. I signed it on the bottom. We sprayed it with a matte varnish to preserve the wood. This original folk art block will add a pop of color to any shelf or tabletop. It's ready to ship.
