Trio of Paintings on Red Slate

150.00

Dimensions: Each is approximately 10" wide x 9-10" tall

I painted this trio of Green Mountain College buildings on red slate using professional-quality acrylics. These one-of-a-kind paintings of the Feick Arts Center, the Ames building, and Lyman would look great in your home or office. The group would also make the perfect gift for a friend or relative or alum. I used local red slate found only in the Poultney, Vermont area. It has great textured edges and a rich tone. I used the slate's color as the basis for the buildings and added bright colors. I signed each of the paintings in the bottom right corner and applied a final coat of matte varnish to give them a slight luster plus protection from UV and dust. The paintings each hang from a sturdy wire on the back that has been reinforced with a triangle of metal brackets to distribute the weight of the slate. The four corners are padded on the back, as well. This classic trio of Vermont art is ready to ship and hang.
