Woodblock House Painted Yellow

45.00

Dimensions: 6.5" tall x 4" wide x 2" deep. Weighs one pound.

I handpainted this yellow clapboard house on a woodblock of reclaimed cypress that my husband, Marc Deloach, salvaged from the Mississippi Delta. It's a classic piece of Southern folk art perfect for a housewarming or holiday gift or as a little happy for your favorite spot. I used professional-quality acrylic paint on a salvaged cypress block that I sanded slightly. I painted the yellow clapboards over a black base. The door is red, the roof shingles are a golden brown, and the windows are a white-trimmed blue. I signed it on the bottom. This original folk art block will add a pop of color to any shelf or tabletop. It's ready to ship.
